Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca airport

When you arrive to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, our guide/driver will accompany you to the hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Chefchaouen

Today’s excursion will start with visiting different landmarks in Casablanca. Some of those landmarks are: Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, and Mohammed V palace. Following this, your next stop will be Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen or the blue city. This city is known to have enormous mountains accentuated by the contrast of the brightly blue and white painted medina. It is this combination of bright blue and white walls and greenery coating the Rif Mountains that give the city a relaxing atmosphere. The local markets are vibrant places which offer handicrafts such as; wool, garments, woven blankets, and traditional Chaouen clothing. By the end of the day, we will be taking you to spend the night in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes

After having breakfast, our next destination will be Fes. The road to Fes takes us along a beautiful stretch of farmlands where olives, grain, vegetables and grapes are grown. But before that you will visit Volubilis, which is basically a partly excavated Roman city in Morocco positioned nearby the city of Meknes. After exploring the history and different corners of Volubilis, you will be driven towards fez via Meknes. This city, which was the capital of Morocco under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail, has an impressive Spanish-Moorish style surrounded by high walls and great doors. It also has famous sights such as; Medresa Bouanania, Bab Mansour, Essouani reservoir, Heri Essouani, and Cara subterranean prison. Following this, we will continue our way to Fez to check into your accommodation.

Day 4: Fez guided tours

After having breakfast, you will start your tour at one of the oldest living Medinas in the world with a local official tour guide. First, you will enjoy a tour in the Medina with its souks (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine Mosque and University. This heritage was founded by Fatima al-Fihri in 859 with a related madrasa, which afterward turns to become one of the leading educational and spiritual centers of the historic Muslim world. Back to the tour, you will also visit the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Then, you will have lunch at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. Later on, you will continue your tour to visit the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a vibrant view of the city.

Day 5:Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

After having breakfast, you will start your day traveling from Fes to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains. Before arriving to Merzouga, we will pass through a number of beautiful cities and villages. Ifrane, which in Tamazight, the regional Berber language, means caves, will be the first city that will mesmerize you due to its neat gardens and calmness. As we leave Ifrane, our second station will be the cedar forests of Azrou whose lovely monkeys add a touch to the aura of the place; being there excites one to document memorial pictures. Continuing our journey, a long line of mountains called the ‘Atlas Mountains’ will snatch your attention as we move from Ziada towards Medilt, the city of apple, where we will have lunch. As you finish lunch, we will pass through a number of Berber villages like Rich, which is known of its peoples’ generosity and hospitality, Errachidia, the main city of the region, and Erfoud, which marks the Sahara Desert’s gateway, to reach Merzouga. Besides, as we get some rest in Merzouga, we will drive you to explore the beauty of the desert through visiting Erg Chebbi, large seas of dunes. But before, we will get you to visit some fossils’ shops and experience being part of Berber Nomad family. As we reach our destination, you will cross the desert on camels to enjoy a beautiful sunset before taking you to spend the night in the camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades valley – Ouarzazate

We will wake up early so as to not miss the beautiful sunrise and the incredible sight of the sun-rays reflected on the shadowy dunes. Later on, as you have breakfast and a shower, we will drive you towards the fortified village of Rissani that is located at the edge of Ziz Valley. Rissani is a town in Errachidia housing the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, third great-grandfather of Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. The city remains a major commercial center in the region, with a large souk, particularly lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. As we leave Rissani, our next stop will be Erfoud, a village famous for its fossils industry. As we stop in Erfoud, you can –if you want- buy some fossils and other handicrafts. After that, we will continue our journey through the rocky Todra Gorges Mountains to Tinerhir Oasis and the Dades Valley along the way to Ouarzazate. Once we reach Ouarzazate we will take the opportunity to visit some amazing places such as the Kasbah of Taourirt and cinema studio before checking into your accommodation.

On our way to Marrakech we will stop to explore Ait Benhaddou’s Kasbah, a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage. Inside the Kasbah, you will get surprised by its oldness, beauty and quietness. You will get surprised also with the fact that the Kasbah is still inhabited by some Berber families despite its oldness. This originates to the extent to which these families stick to their heritage and their ancestral land. Our excursion inside the Kasbah will end by having lunch in a traditional place and then driving you towards what most Moroccans prefer to call it the Hollywood of Africa, Ouarzazate. As the journey continues through Tizin’ tichka’s enormous mountains, arrival in Marrakech will be in the afternoon. Then, we will accompany you to Check into your accommodation.
