7 days From Fes To Merzouga desert

Morocco Tour Itinerario

Day 1 : Fes –Ifrane-Azrou-Midelt

The tour will start at exactly 8:00am then moment when we embark from Fez to Merzouga ,we’ll firstly stop by Ifran and head towards Azrou where we’ll watch wide variety of monkeys hopping around , you could take some pictures for souvenirs . Lunch will be held in Zaida village . Through the scenic High atlas mountains we’ll drive by ,as we approach Sahara you will be able to witness the change in scenes from mountainous to sandy , as we arrive Midelt we’ll have dinner and spend the night over.

Day 2 : Midelt – Erdoud-Rissani- Merzouga desert

As the morning breeze hits by we’ll have a dainty breakfast and hop on our vehicle towards Merzouga , we’ll pass by numerous interesting landscapes such as the Ziz gorges one of the most important geological sites , Errachidia ,and finally towards Rissani village .at exactly evening we’ll be found in Merzouga where camel and your guide would be waiting for you , it will be a long but joyful ride with your loved ones over the high wavy sand dunes “Erg chebbi” .it will surely be a blissful night full of nomadic experiences as a starter sleep over in a tent and have dinner with locals playing Berber music for you especially.

Day 3: Merzouga- Toudra gorges – Dades Gorges

Sunrise is surely not to be missed in Sahara , each one is special , we’ll drive back to the inn and have breakfast there , and hot the road again to Rissani via tall and huge palm grove of Tafilalt . We’ll make sure to explore the tiny village well by wandering in its narrow and traditional souks of animals , we then drive up to the Todgha gorges ,where we’ll have lunch and wander and sleep of course.

Day 4: Gorges dades- Kelaa Magouna – Ouarzazat-Ait Ben Hadhadou

At exactly 9:00 am we’ll make sure to depart from the gorge and hit the road up again through the valley of roses and Dades one ,we’ll be watching through the window the famous oasis of skoura along with its ancient and signifying Kasbah that dates back to the 17th century , it won’t only be one kasbah ,but thousands along the way , we’ll stop by a very famous one Ait youl .as time passes by we’ll be found in Ouarzazat the Hollywood of Africa , where so many of international movies were shot , another well known filming location is the Ait Benhadou Kasbah which is now a unesco classified site . We’ll have s star like night in there.

Day 5: Ait ben Hadou – Tizi n Tichka -Marrakesh

After having breakfast we’ll have a special and exclusive tour in the Ait Benhadou Kasbah  , far after we’ll drive up to Taliouet kasbah which is now stands for ruins left by the previous pacha of France , on the way back to Marrakech we’ll pass once again by the long high atlas mountains chains.

Day 6: Marrakesh-Casablanca-Rabat

At around 9:00 am , we’ll head towards Casablanca city , yes! as nostalgic as you’ll feel we’ll visit the Grand Casablanca and its most signifying monuments and famous places like Mohamed V square and United nations one and of course an extended visit to the grand and exquisite Hassan II mosque which is built on seashore , its minaret is approximately 200meters high as a result it’s the world’s tallest religious building . At afternoon we’ll drive up to Rabat the administrative capital , a modern yet still holds its tradition city , it contains many ancient monuments like the Wdaya Kasbah , the unfinished Hassan II tour ,and the mausoleum of Mohamed the Vth , as for the night it will be spent in a hotel.

Day 7: Rabat –Meknas- Fes

At morning exactly 9am ,we switch from Rabat to Meknes another imperial city , known to be one the oldest ones in Morocco , it dates back to the 4th century ,yep this city still stands still and strong with its huge 45 km walls and giant gates ornamented with great sculptures.like the Bab El Mansour one , mosques and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail the founder of the city , yet before going the distance to Meknes we’ll make a quick atop along the way to Volubilis ruins.we hence proceed to Fez where we’l have dinner and stay the night at.
