Morocco Tour Itinerario

1st Day: Arrival in Casablanca airport

When you arrive to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, our guide/driver will accompany you to the hotel.

2nd Day: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

On this day, as you finish your breakfast we will take you to see Hassan II Mosque, the largest Mosque in Morocco and the second largest one in Africa. Then, we will be taking you to explore other beautiful parts of the city such as, the Corniche and Mohammed V place. Following this, we will drive you to Rabat, the Moroccan capital city to explore its beauty and richness. In Rabat, we will visit first the Kingdom Palace before heading towards the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture. As we finish exploring the fascinating places of Rabat, we will travel towards our promising destination, Chefchaouen, the blue city. This city, which is known of its beauty and neatness, attracts thousands of tourists all over the world. It is situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. The beauty of Chefchaouen’s mountainous surroundings is enriched by the amazing bright painted old Media. It is this beauty and the calm atmosphere of the city which makes Chefchaouen very eye- catching to visitors. Back to the trip, as we reach Chefchaouen, we will accompany you to check into your hotel.

 

3rd Day: Exploring Chefchaouen

After having breakfast, we will stretch our legs by exploring the beauty of Chefchaouen. First, we will walk inside the old Medina of Chefchaouen. Inside the Medina, you will get amazed with its narrow alleyways, white and blue washed walls, and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts, which are not accessible elsewhere in Morocco like wool garments and woven blankets. Second, we will visit Rass El-Ma, the head of water, which represents the main source of water in the city. On the way to Rass El-Ma, you will certainly enjoy looking at a range of unique natural scenes which attracts thousands of visitors each year. By the afternoon, you will spend the night in your hotel.

4th Day: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes

After having breakfast, our destination will be Fes. The road to Fes takes us along beautiful series of mountains namely the Rif and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Yet, your first stop will be Vouliblis, which is partly an excavated Roman city in Morocco positioned nearby the city of Meknes. After exploring the history and the different corners of Volubilis with a local guide, you will be driven towards fez via Meknes. Meknes which was the capital city of Morocco under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail, has an impressive Spanish-Moorish style surrounded by high walls and great doors. It also has famous sights such as; Medresa Bouanania, Bab Mansour, Essouani basin, Heri Essouani, and Cara subterranean prison. As we finish exploring the different sightseeing corners of Meknes, we will continue our way to Fez to check into your accommodation.

5th Day: Fez guided tours

After having breakfast, you will start your tour at one of the oldest living Medinas in the world with a local official tour guide. First, you will enjoy a tour in the Medina with its souks (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine mosque and University. This heritage was founded by Fatima al-Fihri in 859 with a related madrasa, which afterward turn to become one of the leading educational and spiritual centers of the historic Muslim world. Back to the tour, you will also visit the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Then, you will have lunch at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch, you will continue your tour to visit the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a vibrant view of the city.

6th Day: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Erg Chebbi

After having breakfast, you will start your day traveling from Fes to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains. Before arriving to Merzouga, we will pass through a number of beautiful cities and villages. Ifrane, which in Tamazight, the regional Berber language, means caves, will be the first city that will mesmerize you due to its neat gardens and calmness. As we leave Ifrane, our second station will be the cedar forests of Azrou whose lovely monkeys add a touch to the aura of the place; being there excites one to document memorial pictures. Continuing our journey, a long line of mountains called the ‘Atlas Mountains’ will snatch your attention as we move from Ziada towards Medilt, the city of apple, where we will have lunch. As you finish lunch, we will pass through a number of Berber villages like Rich, which is known of its peoples’ generosity and hospitality, Errachidia, the main city of the region, and Erfoud, which marks the Sahara Desert’s gateway, to reach Merzouga. Besides, as we get some rest in Merzouga, we will drive you to explore the beauty of the desert through visiting Erg Chebbi, large seas of dunes. But before, we will get you visit some fossils’ shops and experience being part of Berber Nomad family. As we reach our destination, you will cross the desert on camels to enjoy a beautiful sunset before taking you to spend the night in the camp.

7th Day: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Camel trekking:

After having breakfast, your dream trip inside the southern Moroccan desert will begin as we move from one side of the desert to another. Our first stop will be Khamlia, which regionally known as the village of black people coming from Sudan, we will be warmly welcomed in Daar Gnawa (the house of Gnawa) to enjoy listening to their spiritual Music and dancing to its rhythm. Next to that you will be welcomed by a Berber family in their tent to experience their way of life. You will be introduced to the family members before engaging in a cultural conversation where you will learn their traditions and costumes. Following this, you will walk to the dunes of Erg Chebbi to enjoy looking at large seas of dunes. We will also visit other eye-catching sights such as the oasis of Tisrdmine and the black volcanic rocks which both add a beautiful touch to the uniqueness of the place.  As you enjoy the view in the windy-silence of the desert, we will cross the desert to reach the camp where you will spend the night. After lunch, you will spend an unforgettable night full -Berber drums- music, dancing and joy.

8th Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades valley – Ouarzazate

Today’s trip will start by waking up early so as to not miss the beautiful sunrise and the incredible sight of the sunrays reflected on the shadowy dunes. Next to that, you will have enough time to take your breakfast and have a shower before travelling to Ouarzazate .Your first stop will be the village of Rissani, which is located at the edge of Ziz Valley. It is a town in Errachidia housing the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, third great-grandfather of Moulay Cherif, founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. Besides, Rissani remains a major commercial center in the region, with the largest souk in all Southern Morocco. Once you enjoy the city of Rissani, we will continue our journey through the rocky Todra Gorges Mountains where you will have lunch before continuing on to Tinghir, and then Kelaa Mgouna, the city of flowers, through the road of  the Thousand-Kasbah to reach Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco. As we reach Ouarzazate we will explore the main corners of the city like the Kasbah of Taourirt and cinema studio before accompany you to check into your hotel.

9th Day : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech

After having breakfast, we will drive towards the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage. This well-known Kasbah in Morocco was built during the XXth century by Thami El-Glaoui who is one of the last Berber chieftains. Inside the walls of the Kasbah, which used to be one of El-Glaoui stops in his long travelling to Marrakesh, are half a dozen of merchants households and other individual dwellings. As we finish enjoying the historical pinches of the Kasbah, we will leave to Marrakech via the high Atlas Mountains. Late in the evening, we will arrive to Marrakech and then we will accompany you to check into your hotel.

10th Day: Exploring Marrakech

On this day, you will have a full-day tour to explore the beauty of Marrakech. First, you will visit the famous Menara, a surrounded pool by flowerbeds that function as an irrigation system for the surrounded fields. The sightseeing tour will cover several impressive sights such as, the Bahia Palace, which is a palace built in the late 19th century in order to document the beauty of the Islamic and Moroccan style and architecture, El-Badi palace, a palace which currently represents a popular tourist attraction because of its unique design, the Saadian Tombs, El-Koutoubia, and the Majorelle Garden. Following this, you will explore one of the famous squares in Morocco, Jemaa el Fnaa. In such a place you will see how different aspects of the Moroccan culture came together to draw an image full of beauty, diversity, and entertainment. By the end of the day, you will enjoy a Moroccan cup of tea while overseeing the exciting Jamaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a cafe, dinner and night at the hotel.

 

11th Day: Day Trip to Ouzoud waterfalls and Return to Marrakech

Today’s excursion will start at 9:00 am so as to enjoy a full day at the Ouzoud waterfalls. After a trip of two hours, we will reach the falls, which are 110m high. As you rest from the travel fatigue, we will start the Ouzoud-trip by walking around the falls. That is, we will try to capture the beauty of the falls from different sides and angles so that you can take as many pictures as you want. If you want also, we can have a look on the caves which contain the watermills from which the falls took their name because Ouzoud is a Berber word that means, ‘the act of grinding grain’. Besides, the trip will also include having lunch in a traditional restaurant near the falls and that to enjoy your plates while watching the green spaces surrounding you. Next to that, we will drive you back to Marrakech.

12th Day: Day Trip to Essaouira and Return to Marrakech

            After having breakfast, we will start today’s trip by exploring the fabulous city of Essaouira, which was formerly known as Mogador. The city old name dates back to the Portuguese colonization of the city, while the modern name is a direct reference to the fortress walls that still circle part of the city. Through wandering around the city, you will enjoy looking to its original walls and exploring its’ souks (markets) where –if you want– you can buy souvenirs and eat some of the city’s fresh fish. Besides, we will also visit the old medina, Kechla, Taros and the main harbor of the city which serves, back-in-time, as a center for protecting the city from outdoor attacks. By the afternoon, you have free time to experience other things such as, going to the beach, relaxing in a public garden or visiting other monuments that mark the beauty of the city. Late in the evening, we will head back to Marrakech.  

13th Day: Casablanca Airport transfer

We will pick you up to the airport according to your flight’s departure time.
