Morocco Tour Itinerario

1st Day: Arrival in Casablanca airport
When you arrive to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, our guide/driver will accompany you to the hotel.
2nd Day: Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque – Rabat
On this day, as you finish your breakfast we will take you to see Hassan II Mosque, the largest Mosque in Morocco and the second largest one in Africa. Then, we will be taking you to explore other beautiful parts of the city such as, the Corniche, Mohammed V place, United Nations square, law court, and the Central post office. Following this, we will drive you to Rabat, the Moroccan capital city to explore its beauty and richness. In Rabat, we will visit first the Kingdom Palace before heading towards the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture. Then, we will walk for few minutes to Hassan Tower, an incomplete mosque and minaret. The minaret was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque but when Al-Mansur, one of the Moroccan Sultans, died in 1199, the building of the mosque stopped. As you enjoyed the different corners of the mosque, our trip will end by taking you to explore the Kasbah of Ouday and driving you to your hotel/Riayed.
3rd Day: Rabat – Meknès – Volubilis – Fez
In the early morning, you will take your leave to Fes, stopping first at Meknes to sightsee first Bab-Mansour which is well known all around Morocco for its incredible architecture. Your next stop will be “Sahrij Souani” that is a basin located in the middle of Meknes. The basin is a site that testifies to the glorious past of the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl in the 17th century. Last but not least, you will visit the Souks (markets) which are popular in the old medina and they are a target for buying traditional clothes and souvenirs. They are distinct by their narrowness and most of the times overcrowded. As we are in the old medina, we will visit Madrasa Bou Anania, a stunning quranic school that goes back to the 14th century. This latter is located near Jamaa Lakbir (the big mosque) which adds a pinch of spirituality to the old medina. We will have lunch in Meknes and then, we will continue the trip to Vouliblis. About 23 km from Meknes and near Moulay Idriss Zerhoun; Voulibili’s history goes back to 40 A.D. It is an amazing tourist site that invites countless visitors yearly. It is a great memorial of the Roman civilization. After visiting Voulibils we will depart to Fez to spend the night.
4th Day: Fez tours
After having breakfast, you will start your tour at one of the oldest living Medinas in the world with a local official tour guide. First, you will enjoy a tour in the Medina with its souks (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine Mosque and University. This latter is a Moroccan heritage was founded by Fatima al-Fihri in 859 with a related madrasa, which afterward turns to become one of the leading educational and spiritual centers of the historic Muslim world. Back to our tour, you will also visit the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Then, you will have lunch at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. Following lunch, you will continue your tour to visit other stunning places in fez such as, Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a vibrant view of the city.
5th Day: Fes – Ifran- Ziz Valley -Merzouga
After having breakfast, you will start your day traveling from Fes to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains. Before arriving to Merzouga, we will pass through a number of beautiful cities and villages. Ifrane, which in Tamazight, the regional Berber language, means caves, will be the first city that will mesmerize you due to its neat gardens and calmness. As we leave Ifrane, our second station will be the cedar forests of Azrou whose lovely monkeys add a touch to the aura of the place; being there excites one to document memorial pictures. Continuing our journey, a long line of mountains called the ‘Atlas Mountains’ will snatch your attention as we move from Ziada towards Medilt, the city of apple, where we will have lunch. As you finish lunch, we will pass through a number of Berber villages like Rich, which is known of its peoples’ generosity and hospitality, Errachidia, the main city of the region, and Erfoud, which marks the Sahara Desert’s gateway, to reach Merzouga. As we reach, you will get some rest in the hotel before riding the camels through the desert to enjoy the sunset and spend an unforgettable night in the tents/camp. Dinner and overnight in the camp
6th Day: Merzouga – Erg chebbi – Rissani – Erfoud – Merzouga
After starting the day with a fabulous golden sunrise, riding the camels to Merzouga will be our next excursion. As we reach Merzouga, you will have time for enjoying a shower and eating breakfast before exploring the neighboring villages of Erg Chebbi dunes. Hassi Labied , Khamlia and M’fis are all small communities which the beauty of Merzouga will be incomplete without them. Along the way to Khamlia, we will be meeting some locals who will be showing us their desert foxes; you may also see some reptiles and mammals throughout the way. As we reach Khamlia, which regionally known as the village of black people coming from Sudan, we will be warmly welcomed in Daar Gnawa (the house of Gnawa) to enjoy listening to their spiritual Music and dancing to its rhythm. After that, our next adventure will be exploring the golden dunes near the Algerian border. At this place, we may stop to have lunch before visiting a Berber nomadic family. You will be introduced to the family member before we engage in a cultural conversation where you will learn about their traditions, costumes and way of life. Following this, we will be visiting one of the beautiful sights in the reign which is the oasis of Tisrdmine, where the golden color of the dunes is mixed in an extraordinary sight with the lake’s mirage (springtime). As we enjoy the view in the windy-silence of the desert we will move back to Merzouga in order to spend the night in a hotel close to the dunes.
7th Day: Merzouga –Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Today’s trip will start by waking up early so as to not miss the beautiful sunrise and the incredible sight of the sunrays reflected on the shadowy dunes. Next to that, you will have enough time to take your breakfast and have a shower before traveling to Ouarzazate .Your first stop will be the village of Rissani, which is located at the edge of Ziz Valley. It is a town in Errachidia housing the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, third great-grandfather of Moulay Cherif, founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. Besides, Rissani remains a major commercial center in the region, with the largest souk in all Southern Morocco. Once you enjoy the city of Rissani, we will continue our journey through the rocky Todra Gorges Mountains where you will have lunch before continuing on to Tinghir, and then Kelaa Mgouna, the city of flowers, through the road of the Thousand-Kasbah to reach Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco. As we reach Ouarzazate, we will accompany you to check into your hotel.
8th Day: Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech
After having breakfast, we will drive towards the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage. This well-known Kasbah in Morocco was built during the XXth century by Thami El-Glaoui who is one of the last Berber chieftains. Inside the walls of the Kasbah, which used to be one of El-Glaoui stops in his long travelling to Marrakesh, are half a dozen of merchants households and other individual dwellings. As we finish enjoying the historical pinches of the Kasbah, we will leave to Marrakech via the high Atlas Mountains. Late in the evening, we will arrive to Marrakech and then we will accompany you to check into your hotel.
9th Day: Marrakech
On this day, you will have a full-day tour to explore the beauty of Marrakech. First, you will visit the famous Menara, a surrounded pool by flowerbeds that function as an irrigation system for the surrounded fields. The sightseeing tour will cover several impressive sights such as, the Bahia Palace, which is a palace built in the late 19th century in order to document the beauty of the Islamic and Moroccan style and architecture, El-Badi palace, a palace which currently represents a popular tourist attraction because of its unique design, the Saadian Tombs, El-Koutoubia, and the Majorelle Garden. Following this, you will explore one of the famous squares in Morocco, Jemaa el Fnaa. In such a place you will see how different aspects of the Moroccan culture came together to draw an image full of beauty, diversity, and entertainment. By the end of the day, you will enjoy a Moroccan cup of tea overlooking the exciting Jamaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a cafe, dinner and night at the hotel.
10th Day: Airport transfer
We will pick you up to the airport according to your flight’s departure time.
